About Elisabeth
I am a Spanish native speaker and a highly qualified language teacher with over 22 years of experience teaching Spanish in the UK. I have formal qualifications and specialist training in language teaching and pedagogy, extensive experience preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Spanish, and have completed numerous professional development courses focused specifically on these examinations. I am also an accredited DELE examiner.
My specialist knowledge of GCSE and A-Level examination requirements, assessment criteria and effective teaching methodologies enables me to provide structured, targeted tuition tailored to each student's needs. I prepare students for AQA and Pearson Edexcel GCSE and A-Level Spanish, as well as Cambridge IGCSE Spanish, focusing on examination technique, grammar, vocabulary, translation, speaking, listening, reading and writing. My aim is to help students develop genuine linguistic competence while achieving the highest possible grades.
As an accredited DELE examiner, I also offer specialist preparation for official DELE examinations from A1 to C2. I help candidates understand examination requirements, develop their language skills and approach their assessments with confidence.
I hold a degree in Humanities and have a strong background in educational methodology. I believe that excellent teaching combines subject expertise, sound pedagogy, careful planning and an understanding of how each individual learns best. I continually develop my professional knowledge to provide effective, engaging and personalised lessons.
I am also trained as an ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) coach and specialise in High Learning Potential (HLP) learners. I adapt my teaching to individual learning profiles, providing appropriate support, academic challenge and opportunities for students to fulfil their potential.
I teach children, teenagers and adults, tailoring lessons to their abilities, interests and objectives. # Highly Qualified Native Spanish Teacher | GCSE, A-Level, DELE Examiner & Specialist Education
I am a highly qualified native Spanish teacher with over 22 years of teaching experience, extensive pedagogical training and accreditation as a DELE examiner. My teaching combines strong academic knowledge, professional expertise in language education and a thorough understanding of how students learn. I specialise in helping students achieve excellent examination results through carefully structured, personalised lessons that develop both academic performance and genuine communicative competence.

# GCSE and IGCSE Spanish
I specialise in preparing students for GCSE Spanish with AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR and Eduqas, as well as Cambridge IGCSE Spanish.
**Outstanding results:** 96% of our GCSE students have achieved grades 8–9, with a 100% pass rate.
Lessons cover speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary, with particular emphasis on examination technique, assessment criteria and the skills required to achieve the highest grades. I provide structured revision, targeted exam practice and personalised feedback to identify weaknesses, build confidence and maximise performance.
My aim is not simply to help students pass an examination, but to develop accurate, confident Spanish that they can use beyond the classroom.
# A-Level Spanish
I offer specialist A-Level Spanish tuition, supporting students with advanced grammar, sophisticated vocabulary, translation, essay writing and oral examination preparation.
Lessons can include the Individual Research Project (IRP), prescribed literary works, film analysis and Hispanic society, tailored to the student's examination specification. I focus on linguistic precision, analytical thinking, independent research and the ability to communicate complex ideas fluently and accurately.
My structured approach helps students develop the advanced skills required to work towards A and A* grades.
# DELE Examinations (A1–C2)
As an accredited DELE examiner, I offer specialist preparation for the official Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language, from A1 to C2.
I help candidates understand the examination format and assessment criteria, practise the different examination tasks and develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. My examiner experience allows me to provide focused feedback and targeted preparation based on the requirements of the qualification.
