About Nina
I'm an international grad student from China going to Pepperdine right now and working on my MA in Clinical Psychology to become a therapist. I completed my undergrad at USC and always loved interacting with and learning from people with diverse backgrounds and cultures. I also love movies, music, good shows & food, always down for adventures and time in nature!

I take an interest-led & student-led approach to help you discover the fun of learning Chinese through what you want to learn! I like to take a conversational approach but can also be more structured if desired. We can explore Chinatown or get good Chinese food while learning, or we could review and analyze some amazing Chinese movies and shows. I am very easy-going, humorous, and flexible. I met Nina during our college time at USC and her positive and easy-going energy immediately made us great friends! She's so easy to talk to and a great listener. She helped with my Chinese by explaining the intricacies and subtle differences in Chinese characters and pronunciations with humorous dissection and anecdotal stories about how the language evolved. I wish I actually hired her as a tutor so I can be more intentional with consistency and practice. And because we were friends so our time always turn into fun hangouts!
