About Jenny
I am a native Mandarin and Cantonese speaker from Hong Kong and a full-time bachelor's degree student at University of New South Wales. I want to teach because I found that textbooks didn't teach some practical languages or understanding slang so I teach living Chinese and Cantonese you will actually use. Besides, I have received so much help navigating life abroad so teaching Chinese and Cantonese is my way of giving back and creating meaningful cross-cultural exchanges.

My lessons are designed for anyone who wants to move beyond textbook Chinese and Cantonese and speak with confidence in real-life situations. I have around 1 year experience of teaching languages and other subjects. As a Hong Kong student living in Sydney, I know exactly what phrases and cultural insights you need to navigate.
I will teach some conversations you will actually use such as ordering food, asking for directions and we will practice scenarios you encounter every day. Also, I will teach some popular slang, social media trends and unspoken cultural rules. Whether you are preparing for travel, connecting with family or just curious about the language, I will tailor the lessons to your personal interest.
