Why learn a language if you aren't going to use it already? With each class, new vocabulary is introduced and old vocabulary is practiced. That way nothing is left to be forgotten. The student learns to play with words and learns to formulate sentences for himself, instead of just memorizing. If the language is flexible, why not learn to speak it flexibly?
