About Michael
Learning a language can be really fun if you do it right. Classroom Spanish unfortunately is often boring, and done in a very uninteresting way.
I went through AP Spanish 10 years ago, but didn't become fully fluent until I worked at it myself the years after high school.
I wish I knew then what I know now about the best way to approach learning Spanish, and that is where I can help you with your studies.
I'll not only help you with your grades, but also with your ability to impress your friends at a Mexican restaurant, or to build relationships with people from entirely different cultures.

I teach languages from a fun yet efficient perspective. My methodology is a "first-principles" approach. What does that mean exactly?
Think of a language like a pyramid. The first and most numerous building block at the base of that pyramid are individual words. When taking lessons with me, you'll gain access to my tailored Quizlet flashcard sets, and other ways to ingrain Spanish vocab into your mind.
The next step up the pyramid are sentences. With my approach, we will use the words you have learned in a wide variety of sentence structures.
I'll be teaching you the grammar and concepts in context of these sentences, which is much more fun and effective than just reading ABOUT concepts in some textbook.
My objective is not only to get you to improve grades, but also to become an actual Spanish speaker (or to improve from where you are now).
