About Tal
I'm an award winning guitarist and have received honors from the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz International Guitar Competition, The Montreux Jazz Festival International Guitar Competition (CH), The Detroit Jazz Festival National Guitar Competition, Siena Jazz Foundation (IT) and the America-Israel Cultural Foundation. During the past 7 years I've performed across the US, Europe, Canada and Israel.
As a teacher, I have a strong desire to build curiosity, confidence and creativity with my students, while providing all the emotional and technical support necessary to learning an instrument and developing a healthy and fun relationship with it and the music we work on!
I have many years of experience with people from all across the world, all genders, ages and levels, and hope we can work together to fulfill your goals.
I am very communicative, punctual and open minded, and do my best to give great classes regularly and prepare the right program for each individual.

For almost 8 years I've taught dozens private students, from beginners who are looking to learn the fundamentals of the instrument and music vocabulary, to active professional musicians seeking to broaden their creative possibilities, dig deeper into their personal voice and practice routine, and explore more advanced techniques and concepts.
I enjoy tailoring my classes to the student's needs, stylistic preferences, and artistic passions. It's very important to me to develop a personal relationship with the student and create a comfortable and open minded environment for dialogue, exploration and growth, allowing the student to be himself/herself.
Alongside learning fun and diverse repertoire to perform, I enjoy incorporating some musical analysis to better understand and internalize the material, discussing how to develop a balanced and engaging practice routine, introducing improvisation or composition, active listening to music, and cultivating attention to detail, exploration and self-motivation.
