About Douglas
I am an educator who has taught middle school (7th and 8th grades) social studies for 20 years. I've also been an online tutor for alternative high school students and a 1:1 in-person tutor to homebound students. I've taught thousands of students over the course of my career.

I'm a midwestern guy who has a passion for history, government, geography, economics, and current events. I teach/tutor all levels of those disciplines. My teaching model is based on relationships and a variety of questioning techniques in order to tap into the learning style of the students in order for them to become comfortable and confident (and curious) learners.
