About Damian
I come from a family with a strong history of diabetes. On my mom's side, both my grandparents, my mom, and almost all my aunts and uncles had Type 2 diabetes (hyperglycemia). From a young age, I was exposed to discussions about healthy habits and diets to manage diabetes.
Despite a genetic predisposition to develop diabetes, I believe that through conscious choices and habits, it can be avoided. Witnessing many family members struggle with overweight, diabetes, and other health issues due to uninformed choices motivated me to stay in shape, conduct research, and find ways to maximize my health and live a quality life.
I have consistently applied the knowledge I’ve gained from my extensive reading and research on health and nutrition, and it has helped me achieve a state of well-being. In recent years, I’ve also focused on optimizing my food choices to enhance sports performance, leading to even greater improvements in my health.
