About Sophie
Sophie Huisken is a NYC-based Actor and Music Director, originally from Southern California. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education (voice emphasis) from New York University, where she trained in Tisch’s New Studio on Broadway during her freshman year, and currently is pursuing a MVP in Musical Theatre Voice Pedagogy from Westminster Choir College at Rider University. Favorite acting credits include Donna (Mamma Mia), Portia (Something Rotten), Belle (Beauty and the Beast), and Cinderella (Into the Woods). As a Music Director she works with students and professionals of all ages, with highlights being Urinetown at Fordham University and Chicago: Teen Edition, and Mean Girls Jr at the White Plains Performing Arts Center. In addition to her theatrical work, Sophie is a voice/audition coach, and loves helping artists of all ages grow and refine their talents, all while having fun in the process!
