About Avery
Hi! My name is Avery, and I'm currently a student at Oberlin College with a strong passion for the humanities and education. Throughout high school, I excelled in my AP Humanities courses, particularly Social Studies and English, and have continued to perform well in my college classes. Outside of academics, I enjoy participating in artistic and community-driven extracurricular activities, which have helped me develop creativity, communication skills, and a genuine appreciation for different perspectives. I am dedicated to teaching the humanities because I believe subjects like history, literature, and writing are not just about memorizing information, but about understanding people, ideas, and the world around us. As a tutor, I hope to make learning engaging, approachable, and rewarding while helping students build both academic skills and confidence.
