About Lael
I have a degree in oceanography and a solid grounding in STEM subjects such as physics, chemistry, biology, and math. I'm also comfortable teaching a variety of other subjects up to the high school level. I consider learning to be its own reward and am excited to help students along the journey!

I care a lot about thoughtful pedagogy and meeting students where they're at! Lesson plans will depend entirely on where a student is in their educational journey and what they need from me as an individual. In general I favor participative, hands-on learning that empowers students to think problems through and figure out solutions in a supportive environment.
