About Shashi
I have graduated from York University with a Bachelor's of Education degree along with a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics for Education and Biology. I have had numerous teaching experiences in local private schools and also internationally (in the U.K.). I have had the pleasure of teaching Grades 7-12 and all related Mathematics courses.

One of my major focuses include on have a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and theories and building on inquiry and problem-solving skills. I have found that this approach, avoiding memorization of concepts and building on foundations, has proven to be exceptionally useful for students in solving all types of questions and assists them in excelling in knowledge, application, thinking and communication. I also believe in practising - especially in mathematics as it can truly assist students in retaining and understanding what they learn. I enjoy incorporating a variety of teaching styles and making use of visuals, manipulatives and a variety of problem-solving methods.
