About Jill
I am an English teacher with 30+ years' experience teaching a range of abilities from Key Stages 2 to 5. Since completing my Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) at Cambridge University in the 90s, I have worked in a variety of UK comprehensives as well as prestigious international schools abroad. Nowadays, I teach primarily via Zoom, providing bespoke courses to individuals and small groups. My specialities include: Key Stages 2 & 3 reading, writing, and grammar; GCSE exam prep, specifically essay technique, creative-writing and literary criticism.

Through regular practice, constructive and detailed feedback, and carefully targeted revision, students are supported in making measurable and consistent progress.
Workshops include comprehensive session notes covering all key discussions and topics addressed, allowing students to consolidate their learning and revisit important concepts with confidence.
