The structured lessons began with Aalankars (vocal exercises) to strengthen the voice and moved on to Bandishes (compositions) in ragas like Yaman, Bhairav, and Bageshree.
One of the most valuable aspects of the course was the focus on improvisation (taans and sargams), which gave me the confidence to experiment within a raga. The training in taanpura accompaniment helped in understanding the concept of sruti and pitch stability. Weekly riyaaz (practice) schedules and one-on-one feedback sessions made the learning process very personalized.
