About Teresa
Hi! I am Teresa :) I am a Portuguese opera singer.
From 2007 to 2017 I studied singing, cello and music theory at the Gregorian Institute in Lisbon. I graduated from this school with honors.
Since 2018, I have been attending the Bachelor singing at the University of Music and Dance in Cologne, in Aachen. I am currently a member of the Lübeck Choir Academy.
I have a lot of stage experience. I took part on various opera productions, both in Portugal and in Belgium. I sang the roles of Dido (Dido and Aeneas, Purcell), Annio (La Clemenza di Tito, WA Mozart) and Messagiera (L'Orfeo, C. Monteverdi), among others. I have also sang in Germany with the Hfmt Cologne Symphony Orchestra, Aachen location sang the minor Mass as a soloist.
I have teaching experience. I
was a rehearsal conductor of the University of Lisbon Children's Choir, from 2014 to 2015.
And, when I was in Lisbon, I also gave music theory and singing private lessons for a year.

I see singing as a tool of express emotions. Therefore I would try to find and develop the student's musical identity with the student.
For me, music should be a source of joy and happiness, but always with a technical side to ensure the quality of what we do and the health of the voice.
I also can teach music theory, ear training, solfège, music education, Gregorian Chant and composition.
My teaching is aimed at all ages! I am very flexible and I also offer online classes ;)
I speak: German, English, Portuguese and Spanish.
