About Monica
I am a high school senior currently attending Northwest School of the Arts as an orchestra major. As a violist/violinist, I have held principal chairs all six+ years of playing, and have participated in multiple county and state orchestras as well. I have received professional lessons from Charlotte Symphony musicians as well as strong instruction from my middle and high school music directors. Currently, I help individuals in underclassmen orchestras enhance their playing and assist our director in teaching and conducting multiple middle school classes as part of a Music Apprenticeship program.

I teach music theory lessons to beginning students and violin/viola lessons to emerging musicians. Depending on the level of proficiency, I help students with both the technical and musical aspects of playing, such as posture, bowing, finger patterns, phrasing, and intonation. I strive to help students think like a musician and understand the piece of music they're practicing from all angles.
