About Bria
I’ve been teaching guitar for over 8 years and hold a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Guitar Studies. I focus on developing advanced ear training skills for guitarists. Lessons include transcribing solos, identifying chord progressions by ear, and developing perfect pitch. I work with students to enhance listening, memory, and musical intuition. Exercises are tailored to individual abilities and musical interests. I emphasise connecting ear training to real playing situations. Improvisation, transcription, and analysis are key components of my teaching. I encourage active listening, repetition, and exploration. Students learn to pick up music quickly and play with confidence. Lessons are interactive, fun, and challenging. I help students strengthen both their technical skills and musical understanding. Together, we build ears that allow music to come alive naturally.

I teach guitar with a focus on music reading, tablature, and standard notation. Students practise sight-reading and rhythm exercises in every lesson. My approach is systematic, ensuring strong reading skills that last. I work closely with Classical Purists and Jazz Explorers to build fluency in notation. Lessons connect written music directly to the instrument for real-world application. I emphasise rhythm, timing, and musical phrasing. Students develop confidence playing from sheet music. My teaching is interactive, structured, and personalised. I encourage curiosity, creativity, and consistent practice. Lessons make reading music accessible and enjoyable. I celebrate progress and achievements along the way. Together, we unlock the language of music on the guitar.
