About Amber

I’m a recent Literature and Creative Writing graduate from OBU with a passion for helping students grow in confidence and develop their skills in English and writing. Over the past year, I have volunteered as a tutor, supporting students with their learning in a patient, encouraging, and personalised way. I also have experience working as an au pair, caring for and supporting young children, which has helped me develop strong communication skills, adaptability, and a calm, supportive approach.
I enjoy helping students improve their grammar, writing, reading comprehension, and overall confidence in English. Whether a student needs support with exam preparation, coursework, creative writing, or general study skills, I aim to create lessons that are engaging, supportive, and tailored to their individual needs.Having graduated recently, I understand the pressures of studying and exams, and I strive to make learning approachable, enjoyable, and effective.

About the lesson

• My lessons are typically one hour long and are tailored to each student’s individual learning style, goals, and pace. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities.
• I can help with grammar, vocabulary expansion, creative writing, proofreading, essay writing, study skills, and exam preparation. Whether you are looking to improve your written English, prepare for exams, develop stronger analytical skills, or become more confident in your writing, lessons will be adapted to suit your specific needs.
• I understand that every student learns differently, so I use a flexible and personalised approach to ensure lessons are both engaging and effective. My goal is not only to improve academic performance, but also to help students feel more confident and independent in their learning.
