About Ewan
I studied Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics at A level before going to do a Chemistry degree, first at Durham and then a masters at Oxford. However there is much more to teaching than just being good at your subject.
I genuinely enjoy learning and want others to feel this too. Maths and science can often confuse people and I enjoy the challenge of finding new ways to describe ideas to people. Most of all I want to share my passion for my subject with others.
In terms of experience, most recently I have tutored my younger brother for through his A level maths for the last 2 years and during my DofE I volunteered an hour a week in a GCSE maths class, teaching portions of the lessons and helping students who were struggling.

Ewan really helped me to understand difficult concepts in my A Level Maths. His tutoring provided a source of help when I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. I would highly recommend him.
Ewan is a fantastic, easy-going tutor with an enjoyable approach to learning - he has tutored me (studying a degree in Biology) A Level chemistry, as I always struggled with this aspect of my degree. He strikes a great balance between encouraging independent thought and giving easy-to-understand guidance when needed. He is very attentive to my specific needs as a student, and I feel very comfortable voicing concerns or problems I would like to work through with him. Overall, Ewan is a brilliant tutor, with thorough and easy to grasp explanations supplemented with helpful exercises - I would recommend him for any level of study.
