About Clementine
I graduated from St John's College, University of Oxford in Summer 2020 with a BA in French. My studies covered both Francophone literature and culture. I chose to look at the language itself in greater detail, completing papers in advanced literary translation, historical French linguistics, and mediaeval French. Since graduating, I have moved to Cambridge and am currently training to teach French and Spanish at Homerton College, University of Cambridge.

I offer sessions on the French language up to A-Level. When working with a student, I begin by establishing a strong understanding of what we will be covering in English as I find that this helps students to feel much more confident in tackling what might be a particularly tricky grammar point, for instance. This strong understanding gives the lesson a real focus. Initially we tackle more basic language problems, gradually building up to the most complex problems a student is capable of handling during a particular session. Future lessons will be designed to ensure that the student is encouraged and enabled to perform to the best of their ability and to exceed their own expectations.
