About Emily
Day to day, I am a PhD student working on developing next-generation solar cells for a greener future :). Throughout my undergraduate degree, I worked with young people in our outreach department, hosting spring residentials and Q&As for prospective university students. Oxford is an intense place to earn a degree -- I am well equipped to help students handle the challenges that an ambitious academic workload can give you.
Alongside the academic help, I encourage students to take a sustainable attitude to their work so that they can keep that enjoyment alive! I've been a mentor on Zero Gravity, and provided voluntary tutoring services to students in schools around Oxford. I've also completed a teaching internship at King's Maths School, London, which involved classroom teaching.

Enthusiastic & experienced, I can help build confidence, sustainable revision habits and bring the Oxford rigour into your studies :). At the moment, I am offering Physics and Mathematics tutoring up to A level. Lessons are 1 hour, with a flexible schedule that can work around the student's commitments. I hope to tailor sessions to the student's needs and interests, and have experience helping students with their university applications as well. From homework help to introductions to quantum mechanics, I hope to broaden horizons and inspire true enjoyment in the subjects I offer. Students will get the most from this tutoring if they are willing to have a go at some work beforehand, so that we can go through it during the session.
