About Kyra
I’m a London-based English tutor with a First-Class degree from the University of Oxford and an upcoming Master’s at the University of Cambridge. I’ve been teaching since 2020, when I completed my CELTA qualification, and I have experience working with learners of all ages and levels — from primary school through to GCSE, A-Level, university, and adult learners. Whether you’re aiming for top exam results, preparing for university, or looking to improve your confidence in written or spoken English, I tailor each lesson to your needs. My approach to tutoring is student-centred, flexible, and tailored to each individual's goals, learning style, and confidence level. I focus on building a strong foundation in both analytical skills and written expression, while helping students engage with texts in a meaningful and personal way. Whether you're preparing for an exam or just want to improve your fluency and confidence, I create supportive and challenging lessons that move at your pace. Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, though I’m happy to adapt depending on your needs and schedule. I hold a First-Class degree in English from Oxford and have been accepted to Cambridge for my Master’s. I also have a CELTA (since 2020), and have several years of experience tutoring students of all ages and levels – from early secondary through to GCSE, A-Level, and adult learners. I’m well-versed in the main UK exam boards and can help with everything from essay writing and exam technique to general literacy and confidence building. My lessons are suitable for learners of all ages – school students, university applicants, international learners of English, and adult learners looking to improve or refine their skills.
