About Milly
I have previously tutored primary school children in English, Maths, French and Latin. Having recently graduated, I am familiar with GCSE, A-Level/IB syllabuses, undergraduate level + Oxbridge applications/interviews/aptitude tests. I have spent 2 years living in Paris, studying at the Sorbonne, working in two leading PR firms and nannying five-year old twin girls.

I am a recent graduate providing tutoring for GCSE/A-Level/IB exams, Oxbridge applications, university students, school-age children or adults looking to improve.
I have a particular interest in grammar and written French: subjunctive help, tenses, agreement, prepositions, subordinate clauses etc.
I make sure to explain grammar in an accessible way that makes sense to the student and draws on their existing linguistic knowledge. I strongly believe that language learning is as much about developing instincts and intuitions that you can trust as it is about building your vocabulary.
Lessons can be flexible and geared to where you feel you need practice. Above all, my tutoring is intended to help students build confidence and to feel capable and equipped to apply what they have learned to future situations. I want students to feel comfortable and supported, and to engage proactively with the lessons, asking questions whenever they feel like it!
