About Sampson
I previously studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics as an undergraduate and have just finished my master's degree in Economics at Oxford. I started tutoring a few students at a nearby school for the Oxford Entrance Exam (the TSA) and found I really enjoyed it, so I decided to start offering lessons. After a few years I still find it fulfilling, and love helping students reach new milestones!

I have about 4 years of tutoring experience, working primarily with students in person but have gotten quite adept at webcam tutoring in the past year! I've worked with students using a couple of different syllabuses, including A-level and the IB, but I find it's best to go over the concepts themselves, rather than catering the lesson to the exam. I work best with motivated students, primarily in 6th form or completing GCSEs. If you're interested reach out to me, we can have an initial consultation to see if a full lesson is right for you.

Sampson was my tutor throughout Year 13, helping me to prepare for A-level Economics and Politics. On the whole, his teaching was absolutely excellent. Always fun and engaging and really good knowledge of the syllabus! Retrospectively, I think the tutoring was very instrumental in helping me to achieve A* for both of the subjects and thus meet my conditional offer for PPE at Oxford.
Sampson worked with me on my Macroeconomic Policy module, working through the final essay, the topic of which I could not make heads or tails of before we started, but consider myself a bit of an expert on now, all thanks to his support. Sampson is very capable and has a wide range of knowledge across different schools of thought in economics as well as in the more technical portions. I sincerely recommend Sampson to anyone looking for support with economics!
