About Wong
As a student maintaining a 93% average, I understand the challenges students face in today’s high school environment. I focus on building a comfortable connection first, understanding how each student learns, and then adapting my approach to their needs. My goal isn’t to overwhelm students with pressure, but to give them clear explanations, practical strategies, and the confidence to become stronger, more independent learners.

I start each lesson with a short 5-minute conversation or icebreaker to help students settle in and feel comfortable. From there, I tailor the lesson to their needs. For new topics, I typically spend 15–20 minutes explaining the key concepts before moving into questions, guided practice, and active recall. For schoolwork support, I first review the material with the student, then use active recall and practice questions to strengthen their understanding and memory.
I also encourage students to keep a running list of questions throughout the week, so our sessions can focus on the areas where they need the most help. My goal is for every lesson to be clear, focused, and genuinely useful—not just another hour of school.
