About Ryan
I have a passion for language-learning and my teaching style is direct and enthusiastic. I started school in France and have lived in France, Spain and Quebec at various points in my life. I first began tutoring to support my university studies. I then worked hard to become a teacher of French and Spanish and went on to teach both up to GCSE level at two Ofsted-rated outstanding schools. After 6 years as a qualified teacher, I left to establish my own tutoring business which has grown steadily since its beginning in May 2015. My clients include pupils studying for their GCSE; pupils struggling having been moved to a higher ability group; adults looking to retire to France/Spain and who have little or no knowledge of the language and conversation groups. I believe that age should not be a barrier to learning a new language. Although I specialise in GCSE preparation (my in-depth knowledge of what exam boards are looking for is often a reassurance for parents), I will tutor most ages and stages for the love of speaking and sharing these two amazing languages and their cultures.
