Joseph Ni is much more than a piano teacher; he is a careful architect of musicality. The manner in which he teaches is not merely technical but also surrogate drama. With his assistance, I have experienced a marked change in what tone color and phrasing can convey. Joseph is able to simplify the most complex movement into easy to grasp gestures allowing the most demanding repertoire to become easy and very rewarding. He not only instructs a person on how to play the piano, but also teaches them to listen.
