About Kat
Preparing for a Spanish exam? Need a little extra boost outside of your Spanish classes?
I am a BA Modern Languages student at Reading, studying Spanish, Italian and British Sign Language.
I come from Bristol and North Somerset, where I achieved a 9 in my Spanish GCSE, and an A* in my Spanish A-Level. (These were both with the AQA exam board.) I have also achieved first-class grades in the first and second years of my Modern Languages degree.
I am now in my third year, where I will be living abroad in Spain - this is very exciting for me, and will allow me to tutor you online from a native-speaking environment.
I am a patient teacher and will listen to your needs. If you’d like more immersion we can have lessons primarily in Spanish, and if you’re working on your confidence, we can keep it mostly in English. We will cover the exam skills you need, conversational practice, and we can learn with games.
I have a passion for languages, but I also have a love for cats, art, gaming and musicals.

My tutoring is focused around how you learn, what your goals are - whether that's improving your grade in time for your GCSE, or mastering a certain tense, or just practising speaking and growing your confidence.
We can work on your vocabulary, your confidence, practise listening, breaking down tricky grammar, consolidating basics, and even do some mock tests if you're worried about the real exams!
Whether you're just starting out, or pushing for that A*, I'd love to help you navigate the Spanish language and hope that you will share my love for it.
I know that school teachers can't cater to every student's needs and preferences, which is why extra tutoring is often needed and recommended alongside your classwork. I want you to feel comfortable while learning, and to take things at your own pace, but I also hope to push you to achieve your best work - once you're ready!
I provide online sessions from 20 mins to an hour, ideally having 1-2 sessions a week.
I fit these around my university hours, which should also work well for a secondary school student's availability.
