About Silas

With over three years of tutoring experience and a BSc in Mathematics, I specialize in helping students see the beauty and structure behind mathematics. My work often focuses on advanced high school and early university learners who are ready to explore mathematical logic and proof theory. I believe these topics form the backbone of rigorous thinking in all mathematical fields. In my lessons, formal reasoning takes center stage. We explore both propositional and predicate logic, developing the ability to construct and deconstruct arguments with precision. Foundational set theory is introduced not as an abstract curiosity but as a practical framework for understanding mathematics at its core. I often use engaging paradoxes and thought-provoking problems to challenge intuition and spark deeper insight. Students quickly see that problem-solving in logic is both a creative and disciplined endeavor. My approach blends clarity with curiosity, ensuring that even the most complex proofs feel accessible. Over the years, I have worked with learners pursuing philosophy, computer science, and pure mathematics, helping them strengthen the reasoning skills that fuel success in their fields. My goal is to build a mindset that treats complexity as an invitation rather than a barrier. If you are ready to master the art of rigorous mathematical thinking, I will guide you every step of the way.

About the lesson

My teaching approach in Mathematics blends clear explanations with practical application. I cover not only core areas like algebra, calculus, and geometry but also advanced topics such as data interpretation, graphing techniques, statistical analysis, and understanding numerical trends for research. Each lesson is designed to move from fundamental concepts to more complex problems in a structured way. I focus on deep textual analysis to ensure that students fully understand the meaning and logic behind every concept. Structured data exercises are used regularly to build strong analytical thinking. I encourage learners to explore patterns, interpret graphs, and apply statistics to real-world scenarios. For those who feel anxious about math, I provide a patient, step-by-step environment that builds confidence. I also challenge analytically inclined students to refine and sharpen their skills further. My aim is to turn hesitation into curiosity and curiosity into mastery. Through consistent practice, I help students achieve academic excellence in quantitative reasoning. You will not only learn how to solve problems but also how to think critically about numbers and data. Together, we’ll strengthen your data analysis skills and prepare you for both academic and professional success.
