About Kiana
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance along with a Minor in Business Administration, and graduated Cum Laude. I am currently finishing my Master's Degree in Music Education Plus State Certification from the University of Miami. I have particular experience working with students grades 6 through college.

My overall philosophy of music education is influenced by my belief that music is a powerful tool for the holistic development of students. Throughout my entire musical journey, I was fortunate to have incredibly knowledgeable and supportive teachers who taught me invaluable musical and life lessons. As an educator, I embrace the different learning styles of every individual, striving to instill musical excellence, practical discipline, and lasting confidence that extends far beyond the practice room.
In addition to music, I also have a huge passion for reading and writing. I offer tutoring to students grades 6-12 in a variety of English, Reading, and Writing courses, as well as ACT Reading and English preparation. With personal experience getting top marks in AP classes and standardized tests, I employ a variety of strategies with my students to prepare them for success.
