About Sarah
I graduated from University with a first-class honours degree in Chemistry. I deeply enjoyed my time at University and completed an internship for the research of anti-cancer agents found in dates. Straight after that, I went into completing my PGCE and QTS for Secondary School teaching Science. I taught in 3 different types of schools over the next 4 years. These included; a mixed comprehensive school, a single-sexed comprehensive school and a grammar school. I was able to adapt my teaching methods to meet students' needs across these different schools. I currently tutor lower-income families at a charity organisation. I deeply enjoy working with children and I am very passionate about my subject which directly translates into my teaching.

- My teaching comprises practising past paper questions and retrieval practice using mini-quizzes. As a secondary school teacher having previously worked at an Ofsted reviewed 'good' school, I have access to a variety of resources that can be used during my tutoring lessons. I believe that content needs to be broken down into chunks for better understanding with loads of practice to go with the chunking.
- The length of lessons for GCSE and A-level students is typically an hour. While I do encourage two hours, I know that staying focused for that long is difficult.
- I have a QTS and PGCE in Secondary school teaching Science.
- I was promoted to head of Chemistry in my final year of teaching in Secondary school.

Sarah is an amazing tutor! We truly recommend her as she has supported my two daughters through their GCSEs and leading up to it too. Through her patience and well-planned lessons, they became confident and ready for their exams!
Sarah is punctual, which was important to us, and professional!Sarah is an excellent tutor to have. She has provided strong subject knowledge and is able to adapt lessons to the student's requirements. She is very flexible and easy to communicate with.
I’ve known Sarah since university, and she’s always been the person who could explain the trickiest chemistry concepts in a way that just made sense. She’s incredibly patient, encouraging, and genuinely cares about helping people build their confidence as well as their knowledge. If you’re looking for a tutor who will help you achieve the grades you’re aiming for while making the subject feel far less daunting, Sarah is exactly the person you want. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a brilliant science tutor.
Sarah is very attentive and knows how to adapt teaching methods to the child’s way of learning. Highly recommend Sarah, a great teacher!
