About Karen

I am a retired lawyer with excellent language skills. I began teaching English as a Second Language in January, 2020 and have been teaching English online, primarily to students in Asia, since March 2020. I get excellent ratings from my students.

I myself have studied French and Spanish, and recently started learning Chinese. Therefore, I know what it's like to be in the student's shoes, and I understand what's important when learning a language.

About the lesson

I tailor my teaching to each student's needs. I'm able to perceive very quickly what skills each student needs to work on first, and I use a wide variety of techniques to accomplish students' goals. I believe in making the lessons fun so that students look forward to seeing me.

Because of my extensive experience in the business world, I can also teach Business English.

I have known Karen for decades both as a friend and a business partner. Her interactions are clear, precise, and insightful. He writes well and I make sure to read every new article she publishes. She would be an excellent teacher in any capacity and I can recommend her services without reservation. Sieg Pedde

Ordinarily, all of my classes are taught online. I will give half-hour lessons if asked. I will allow as many as 4 students to attend at one time, so that costs can be split among them. Five minutes of each half-hour are break time for me, so a half-hour lesson really lasts only 25 minutes for the students, and a one-hour lesson lasts 50 minutes.
