About Jayne
With over 6 years of teaching experience, I have taught violin to students of all ages, from young beginners discovering music for the first time to college students refining advanced techniques and working professionals pursuing music as a passion.
My teaching philosophy centres on recognising each student as a unique individual and adapting lessons to their strengths, goals, and learning style.
I focus on building strong technical foundations, developing musical expression, and preparing students for performances. Many of my students have participated in concerts, competitions, and recitals, achieving personal milestones that reflect their dedication.
My goal is to make lessons engaging, motivating, and rewarding, helping students cultivate discipline, confidence, and a lifelong love for music.

My violin teaching methodology is built on compassion, communication, and supportiveness. I create lessons tailored to each student’s learning style, pace, and goals. I explain techniques, musical ideas, and practice strategies in simple, step-by-step ways so students can progress confidently.
Compassion allows students to explore music without fear of mistakes, while supportiveness motivates them, celebrates achievements, and encourages steady growth.
I also teach related subjects such as music theory, sight-reading, and ear training to give students a complete musical foundation. My goal is to help students develop technical skill, creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love for music.
