About Sophie
I am a Flute tutor with 6 years of professional teaching experience. I teach High School students, College students, and adults who are interested in learning flute seriously or as a hobby. I have trained close to 300 students so far.
My teaching philosophy is based on clarity, consistency, and confidence building. I believe slow and steady learning gives the best results. I always guide students step by step.
My teaching includes correct breathing, finger technique, tone improvement, rhythm practice, scales, and music reading. I also teach students how to practice properly at home for better improvement.
Several of my students have performed at school and college events and gained stage confidence. Some have also passed music exams successfully.
I focus on creating disciplined, confident, and passionate flute players who enjoy their musical journey.

My flute teaching methodology is guided by Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I believe students learn best when they feel encouraged, understood, and inspired.
Motivation helps students stay positive and confident. I encourage steady improvement through kind support and achievable targets. I help students overcome fear and build self-belief.
Communication allows students to clearly understand each concept. I teach breathing control, finger placement, tone development, articulation, and rhythm step by step. I always listen carefully to student questions.
Integrity means teaching with honesty and responsibility. I focus on building correct habits from the beginning, including posture, hand position, tuning, and practice routines.
Creativity helps students express themselves through music. I include musical games, improvisation, expression practice, and performance preparation. Along with flute, I also teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, and rhythm training to give students a complete musical education.
