About Sofía
I am a biomedical engineer, doctoral student, research specialist. I have worked in laboratories in Boston and therefore I have experience to communicate in English and I know the expressions that a native uses. I have more than 3 years of experience as a teacher.

I like to teach with examples with which the student can practice comfortably. I like to make classes easy and full of activities. One technique that has worked for me to teach English is to compare it with Spanish, so that students understand the equivalences between both languages and express themselves at the end of the course as they would in Spanish on a daily basis. I also like to teach the phonetic sounds of English to improve pronunciation. I use technological tools, such as voice recognition, to evaluate the progress of the students.

Me encantó tomar clases con ella!! Explica súper bien y es muy paciente. En un mes ya entendía películas y a los 6 meses ya podía leer libros en inglés, empecé con un nivel muy básico, but now I can express myself and I'm ready to speak english in my next travel to US ;)
