About Jack
I have always taken great pleasure in teaching. There are very few things I find as satisfying as helping someone improve their craft and as soon as I finished university it seemed very natural for me to go into teaching and have since taught hundreds of students both privately and in primary and secondary schools. I have been playing guitar for over 15 years now and it still brings me great joy. The ability to communicate through my instrument with other players is an amazing thing.

I have been a professional musician for 10 years and have played guitar in all manner of line-ups and styles including: Rock, Pop, R&B, Motown, Disco, Soul, Metal, Folk, Acoustic, Progressive Rock & Musical Theatre. I fully appreciate it can be daunting to first start out learning the guitar, when most songs require many different skills to get through. I have created a curriculum that steadily builds the necessary skills week by week until students have the ability to tackle any song they wish to. If you are already past the beginner stage I can guide you through learning any piece you wish, with an emphasis on understanding why players chose to play the parts they have chosen with the aim of you implementing this in your own playing. Qualifications: Rock School Guitar - Grade 8 (2013) Popular Music & Recording (Salford University) - 1st class Degree with Honours (2017)
