About Matthew
I am an enthusiastic drum tutor with 18 years of teaching experience, offering lessons to students at all skill levels. I have successfully trained around 150 students and helped them improve rhythm, coordination, and musical confidence.
My teaching approach focuses on clarity and steady progress. I adapt lessons based on each student’s learning pace and goals. Students begin with basic drumming skills such as timing and coordination, then gradually move to advanced grooves and fills. What makes my tutoring unique is my focus on strong fundamentals and proper practice.
I break down difficult patterns into easy steps and guide students patiently. I also encourage discipline and consistency, which are key to improvement. I create a friendly and motivating learning environment where students feel supported. My aim is to help students enjoy drumming while developing strong technical and musical skills.
