About Ashley

I am a native speaker of American English. I hold a BA in English Literature and an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I have experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels, including those with special needs and learning differences such as dyslexia. I currently live in central Texas where I enjoy some of the sunniest weather in the world and rich southern culture. I have a love of learning and hope to inspire the same in all of my students

About the lesson

Unlock your potential with personalized English lessons tailored just for you!

In our initial lesson, we’ll sit down for a one-on-one interview to discuss your learning goals and motivations. This approach allows me to create a customized learning plan that aligns perfectly with your needs, interests, and unique learning style.

As we progress, our lessons will be highly conversational, emphasizing intelligibility—so you can be understood— and comprehension—so you can understand others. This means you’ll spend less time focusing on the detailed mechanics of the language and more time using English naturally from day one.

Let’s empower your confidence in speaking English! Start your journey toward achieving your language goals today. Every conversation is a step forward, so embrace the process and watch your skills flourish!

Ashley is an excellent English tutor. What sets her apart is her ability to tailor lesson to your specific needs, she identifies your weak spots early on and adjusts her approach in real time, making each session feel purposeful rather than generic.
Beyond grammar and vocabulary, Ashley helped me prepare for high-stakes presentations, coaching me on pronunciation until I felt genuinely confident in front of an audience. Her resourcefulness is remarkable: she always comes prepared with the right materials, techniques, and exercises for wherever you are in your learning journey.
