About Clare
In 2012, I finished and achieved a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Language, Literature, and Writing. I am passionate about my subject specialism, and I use this passion to turn disengaged learners into English enthusiasts; showing them that to grasp English as a subject is to forge oneself a better future. I am a flexible and creative teacher, able to inspire and engage. I am an English teacher committed to excellence and dedicated to my professional development. I am currently teaching GCSE and Functional English, Cambridge O Levels and AS English Language and Literature. I also have experience tutoring KS2 and KS3 level students. Helping them to gain confidence with their writing, reading, and grammatical skills, as well as enhancing their creativity. I am now available for online English tuition. My online classroom is fun and interactive. I only use the best resources, perfectly tailored to suit all of my students' needs. I offer an online initial assessment that pinpoints the exact areas of English that my tutees need support with, and from this I will then create a personalised learning programme for my tutees'. Perfect! Fantastic English Tutor!
Claire is a fantastic, enthusiastic English tutor! She has tutored my daughter for a number of months leading up to her IGCSE exams in English Language and English Literature in May. She is well organised and planned specifically for what my daughter needed to learn. She has a love for reading and the written word as has my daughter do they 'clicked' immediately. She gave my daughter the confidence to believe in herself and her true ability which in turn gave my daughter the confidence in her exam. I highly recommend Claire as a tutor!

We have been using Claire Pilkington for her home tutoring services for our daughter Hannah for approximately 6 months now. We felt that having some extra assistance with Hannah's English studies would help her develop her skills in school.
