I am extremely enthusiastic about Education and hope to one day work for the Department of Education. Gaining as much experience teaching as possible beforehand is vital, and with it, I hope to one day influence changes some teachers - like myself - would consider necessary.
Through tutoring I will also aim to develop students’ Science Communication skills. Not only is there a real gap in the market, but it’s an entertaining and approachable way to ensure students have a deep understanding of the theoretical knowledge they are learning.

Teaching Style:
My teaching approach is centred around personalised attention and targeted support. When working with students, I begin by delving into the specifics of the exam board they are studying. We go through the entire specification, and I encourage students to colour-code their confidence levels - red for areas they feel challenging, yellow for those they are unsure about, and green for the concepts they feel confident in.
Focused improvement:
Starting with the “red” areas, we work through these sections systematically, incorporating targeted exercises and real-world applications to reinforce comprehension. Regular assessment through incorporating targeted past exam questions ensures a deeper understanding of the material.
Strategic revision:
To aid students across all of their subjects, I go beyond the immediate content and assist in creating a revision timetable. I guide them through effective revision techniques that align with their learning preferences and demands of the exam.
Exam preparation:
To stimulate exam conditions and build confidence, I introduce a weekly 20-minute mini exam. This practice helps students refine their exam skills, manage time effectively and familiarise themselves with the pressure of real exam conditions. It’s a crucial aspect of preparation to ensure they are well-equipped when their actual exams approach.
I am dedicated to guiding students through their academic journey, instilling not only knowledge but also the skills and confidence needed for future challenges. I look forward to working with you.
