About Sierra

I’m trained as a plant ecologist and always excited to share my love of the natural world. I have 5 years of experience teaching botany at the college level and mentoring students one-on-one. I’m happy to provide guidance in general biology, botany, or ecology — whether that means reviewing basic concepts, walking through specific problems, giving feedback on scientific writing, or having more in-depth discussions about underlying theory.

About the lesson

Lesson plans will be tailored depending on the student’s knowledge level (middle school, high school, or college) and learning goals (understanding basic concepts, working through problems, exam preparation, writing feedback, discussing theory). I can teach general biology at the middle school to high school level, or plant biology and general ecology up to the college level.
