About Fernando

I am a PhD candidate at Caltech. I have been doing research in chemistry for 8 years. In this time I have grown interest in mentoring and tutoring students inside and out of the lab. I enjoy teaching and helping students achieve their academic goals specifically in math and chemistry.

I currently have 5+ years tutoring experience one on one and 2 years experience in a group tutoring environment.

About the lesson

Incorporating learning techniques that work for each student individually is key to the process! I encourage asking questions, practicing problems together, as well as challenging each student to think differently about more complex problems.

The primary focus is to finish any coursework before moving onto extra practice.

I am experienced in tutoring in the following subjects.
- Math (pre algebra, algebra, pre calculus, calculus (single and multivariable)
-Chemistry (high school, university, and grad courses)
-Spanish (all levels)
