About Ariana
Hi, it's great to meet you :)
My name is Ariana and I currently hold a bachelor of arts in psychology, master of arts in psychology, and I'm in the process of completing my PhD in psychology with a focus on the cognitive neuroscience of human memory.
My research investigates how different kinds of general world knowledge (e.g., our general knowledge of restaurants) help us create memories for specific experiences (e.g., a memory of going to a pizza restaurant with friends last Saturday).
In addition to my research, I have 6 years of teaching experience. My experience comes primarily from my roles as a teaching assistant and course instructor for undergraduate students, but I have also taught high school students and older adults on topics ranging from research methods, general psychology and neuroscience, and science literacy.
When I'm not teaching or doing research, you can find me outside looking for cool birds and walking my dog, or inside playing video games, reading fantasy novels, and doing arts and crafts :)
Nothing makes me happier than watching my students gain confidence in their abilities and I look forward to helping you reach your learning goals!
