About Dominic
I’m a friendly, patient chemistry tutor currently completing my PhD in organic chemistry. Over several years of tutoring, I’ve supported students at a wide range of levels - from those struggling with the basics to those aiming to deepen their understanding of more advanced material. Throughout this experience, I’ve seen how the right teaching approach can transform a student’s confidence and help them genuinely enjoy the subject.
My lessons are calm, supportive, and highly adaptable. I make a point of getting to know each student’s goals, strengths, and learning style, and I build lessons around what works best for them. I break down tricky topics into clear, manageable steps, using visual explanations, real-world examples, or guided problem-solving depending on the student’s needs. My aim is always to make chemistry feel intuitive rather than overwhelming.
I strongly believe that chemistry becomes far more approachable once you understand the reasoning behind the concepts, not just the facts. Because of this, I focus on building deep, lasting understanding that allows students to think confidently and independently. I encourage questions at every stage and aim to create an environment where students feel relaxed, supported, and able to learn at their own pace.
