About Sana
Meet Your Science & Chemistry Tutor – Dr Sana Qureishi
I’m Dr Sana Qureishi, an experienced Chemistry educator with a PhD in Chemistry from The University of Western Australia (UWA) and 7–8 years of experience teaching and demonstrating to undergraduate students at UWA.
I currently teach Science and Chemistry to students from Year 7 to Year 12, giving me experience working with students across different age groups, abilities, and learning needs.
My approach to teaching is student-focused, supportive, and flexible. I believe Science and Chemistry should be more than just memorising formulas and reactions—they should be understood, explored, and enjoyed. I aim to make challenging concepts simple and engaging while helping students develop the confidence to ask questions, think scientifically, and solve problems independently.
Whether a student needs help building strong foundations, keeping up with classroom learning, preparing for assessments, or extending their knowledge, I tailor my teaching to their individual needs.
My goal is simple: to help students understand Science and Chemistry, enjoy learning, and achieve their full potential with confidence.

In my methodology, I preferably consider making a base of the subject no matter how advanced or easy the topic is. My basic concern first is to grasp student attention to lay a strong foundation so they can’t think of anything else. For that, you need to interact, starting from scratch, consider giving examples from the room to relate the topic so students start taking interest, and the introduction of personal life within the topic could help in engaging the audience. This is how I used to start my topic. Later on, random questions from the audience to see how engaged they are was the cherry on the topic.
