About NEVIN
Hello, my name is Nevin, and I provide tutoring in Economics, Finance, MBA-related subjects, and Accounting. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Economics from Imperial College, and I am also a CFA charterholder. Over the past five years, I have worked with hundreds of students from leading universities, including LSE, Imperial College, UCL, and Cambridge, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. My teaching focuses on helping students develop a strong understanding of concepts, improve their analytical skills, and achieve their academic goals. I offer support across a wide range of subjects, including Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Financial and Management Accounting, Corporate Finance, Company Valuation, and M&A, DCF, and LBO Modelling, among others. I follow a flexible teaching approach rather than a fixed methodology, as every student has unique needs, goals, prior knowledge, time constraints, and available resources. During our first meeting or consultation, I work with the student to develop a personalized learning plan that best suits their situation.
To ensure productive sessions, I usually ask students to share their course materials at least two days in advance. This allows me sufficient time to review the content, identify key concepts, and prepare focused study materials. I create detailed notes and concise formula sheets, which I provide to students as reference resources throughout their studies.
Whenever exercises or assignments are available, I work through them beforehand and then discuss the solutions with the student during our sessions. Over the years, I have built an extensive collection of exercises and worked solutions across a wide range of courses, which enables me to provide additional practice materials and enrich the overall learning experience.
