About Leon

I am a PhD student in Financial Mathematics at Florida State University and a Graduate Teaching Assistant with experience as Instructor of Record for Calculus I, Precalculus, College Algebra, and Business Calculus.

My approach is to make mathematics intuitive, rigorous, and approachable. I focus not only on helping students solve problems, but on building deep conceptual understanding and long-term confidence.

I tutor a wide range of subjects, including:
• College Algebra and Precalculus
• Calculus I–III
• Linear Algebra
• Probability and Statistics
• Differential Equations
• Introductory Financial Mathematics
• Advanced topics by request (stochastic processes, quantitative methods)

I work with high school students, undergraduates, and graduate students, including exam preparation, homework support, proof-based courses, and quantitative interview preparation.

Whether you want help passing a course, earning top grades, or understanding advanced mathematics at a deeper level, I tailor lessons to your goals.

About the lesson

My lessons are personalized, structured, and designed to make mathematics intuitive rather than intimidating. Whether you are preparing for an exam, struggling with homework, or aiming for deeper mastery, I adapt each session to your level and goals.

As a university instructor and PhD student in Financial Mathematics at Florida State University, I emphasize conceptual understanding, problem-solving strategy, and rigorous foundations—not memorization.

In my lessons, we work through:
• Step-by-step explanations of difficult concepts
• Problem-solving techniques and exam preparation
• Homework support and guided practice
• Building mathematical intuition and confidence
• Advanced topics for motivated students

I teach College Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus, Business Calculus, Probability, and more advanced university mathematics.

My goal is simple: make challenging mathematics clear, logical, and even enjoyable.
