Dr. Elvira King was my tutor. She was a great tutor in the classroom, each students' ideas and opinions were valued. Students felt safe to express their feelings and learn to respect and listen to others. Dr. King created a welcoming learning environment for all students, and created a sense of community and belonging in the classroom. The mutual respect in this teacher’s classroom provided a supportive, collaborative environment.
Dr. Elvira King is warm, accessible, enthusiastic and caring person. She was approachable, not only to students, but to everyone on campus. This was the tutor to whom students knew they could go with any problems or concerns or even to share a funny story. She has a very good listening skills and took time out of her way-too-busy schedules for anyone who needed her.
Dr. King set high expectations for all students. She knew that the expectations she had for her students greatly affect their achievement. She was a great tutor because she had her own love of learning and inspired students with her passion for education and for the course material. She constantly renewed herself as a professional on her quest to provide students with the highest quality of education possible. She was very flexible when a lesson wasn’t working. Dr. Elvira King assessed her teaching throughout the lessons and found new ways to present material to make sure that every student understood the key concepts. She maintained professionalism in all areas—from personal appearance to organizational skills and preparedness for each day. Her communication skills were exemplary. In short, Dr. Elvira was excellent tutor, and have learnt a lot from her. She is very professional, intelligent, respectful and academic star.

Elvira has a warm and engaging style and conveys her passion for her subject matter. She taught two of my teenage daughters on a weekly basis. They thoroughly enjoyed her presentation of the topics and ability to provoke interesting discussions. She challenged them to think through their ideas and make connections. Elvira is dedicated to her students and is a serious academic with a passion to share her subject. It was wonderful to see how much my daughters enjoyed their time with Elvira and how they developed in their understanding.
