About Jack
I am a PhD graduate from a Russell Group university, who recently completed a research position at the University of California at Berkeley. Throughout my time in both positions, I came to find that teaching was more rewarding than research itself. This is especially true when teaching small groups, as you can see the confidence of the students increase as they come to understand subjects about which I am very passionate.

Lessons occur in one hour blocks, which can be booked back-to-back. They are targeted at students taking GCSEs in the sciences (chemistry, biology, physics) and maths students at GCSE and A-level. Having taught at university level, I believe the best way to come to master a subject is through incrementally gaining understanding. That is why I focus on comprehension of simple examples of the basics first, before extension eventually to problems that are slightly beyond the scope of the course. This ensures that there are no nasty surprises in the exam.
