About Bernardo
I am a CS PhD student at Carnegie Mellon University, with engineering and master degrees from top universities in France and Chile. I have been teaching mathematics for over 7 years, both as a private tutor as well as a classroom lecturer. I am generally interested in teaching mathematics in a principled way that allows students to really understand what is going on.
On the academic side, I have published several articles in Theoretical Computer Science.

I love teaching math at different levels up to the first years of college, or even more advanced content if it happens to be in my area. I start by assessing the student's level and discussing goals, to then plan a roadmap towards achieving said goals in conjunction with the student. I prepare customized material for every student, with exercises and explanations suited to their level. I have extensive experience teaching mathematics, both as a private tutor and as a classroom lecturer. In general, I want my students to really understand what's going on, develop intuition, and gain the ability to solve new problems by themselves.
